CIPS 2008 Salary Survey reveals that senior and middle ranking purchasers are outstriping the salaries of marketing, sales, HR, IT and Finance

ISBA, the IPA and CIPS are to host the first joint industry forum for clients and agencies to discuss and debate the impact of production de-coupling activities on the communications marketplace. The event will be held as part of the Magic and Logic tripartite initiative.

CIPS today announced the second annual CIPS Middle East conference to be held from 21-22 October at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai

Research released by The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply* (CIPS) today shows that globalisation rules the modern procurement world. 81% of UK-based procurement professionals surveyed source globally, or over 4 in 5 businesses, and furthermore, the vast majority (96%) think that globalisation has not been exploited to its capacity in the procurement and supply-chain profession.

Gerry Walsh (FCIPS) has been elected president of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) for 2006-07. From November 2006, Gerry, who has been vice president for the past 12 months, has taken over the role from incumbent president Dr Jane Gibbs.
