Dr Nick Brown, Consultant, NB Planning and Architecture
Dr Nick Brown is both a chartered architect and a town planner with many years of experience in the private and public sectors. Following 5 years in the private sector with two of Moray's leading architectural firms, Nick spent a decade with the Moray Council's Planning Department. He then led the acclaimed Aberdeenshire Towns Partnership regeneration initiative during 2000-06.
After a spell as a General Manager for a specialist construction company, Nick set up his own practice NB Planning and Architecture. His Cullen-based firm provides consultancy services on a wide range of projects and initiatives relating to planning, architecture, economic development, and community facilities.
Nick was introduced at the Six Cities Design Festival in Inverness in 2007 as someone of 'national and international fame in relation to sustainable development'. He has six higher education qualifications in architecture, town and country planning, leadership and management, and coaching and mentoring. He has received over a dozen national or regional awards for work in his various fields.
