Study CIPS Qualifications

Once you have joined CIPS as a student member, you can study for your CIPS qualifications in a variety of ways, including:

Part time or full time study

CIPS has a network of more than 200 study centres across the globe, allowing you to study at a respected college or university, or with a CIPS training provider.

To find the most convenient location for you use our study centre search facility.

Tuition is provided by qualified, experienced professionals. Our study centres offer a range of flexible learning options:

Part-time traditional classroom learning, during evenings or in the daytime

Intensive classroom or workshop sessions: Some study centres offer intensive study sessions, often at weekends. This gives you the opportunity to work towards each unit over a short period of time.

Blended: Many study centres offer a structured learning programme which also gives you the flexibility to study at a time and place to suit you. This may include a combination of, for example, e-learning support, online tutor support, tutor led workshops etc.

Distance learning with tutor support: If you do not wish to attend a centre, you will find a number of distance learning study centres. These give you the opportunity to study from your home or office at your own speed. You can often access support from tutors online or over the telephone as well as a comprehensive range of reading materials.

We suggest you talk to study centres about the study options they offer in order to determine what best suits your learning style(s) before deciding which one to register with.

Blended: This study programme has been designed to give you structure to your studies, while also providing the flexibility to study at a time and place to suit you

Self-study

You may wish to self-study using our course books, e-learning and website study resources. This option gives you the flexibility to manage your own learning and study units at your own pace. You should ensure that you fully understand what you need to learn by consulting the learning objectives for each unit within the unit content guide for your qualification.

Course books and other text books are available from CIPS bookshop and you should make full use of the study support area which includes free resources and guidance to help with your studies. Don't forget to log-in to the student forum to reach a wide community of CIPS studying members.
