Wrap up of Knowledge Bites #1, with Mr Ian Wheatley.
This first of the series featured Mr Ian Wheatley - Telstra Executive Director Procurement who presented on "Procurement - a Leading Edge Approach.
In his information session, Ian discussed Telstra's procurement challenges and solutions in not only building the world-first 3G network, but also Telstra's BPO with IBM Australia. Whilst Telstra is proud of its leading-edge status globally, it does come with the price of being the pioneer. A lot of lessons are learnt when you are the first, and the knowledge of these lessons are invaluable. Come and hear from the man who has ultimate responsibility for Telstra's 300+ procurement personnel, its procurement practice and execution, and engagement with IBM Australia.
