Project Management...

getting it right for infrastructure procurement

Are you achieving optimal business returns by strategically managing your projects? Unsure?

Then book a place at CIPS Australia’s WA Region July networking event on project management.

Greg Elliott, the guest speaker for this event will present a project management based model for major infrastructure procurement. He will describe the methods used to confirm scope, identify risk and manage contingencies. He will describe the process to develop a contracting strategy and conduct the tendering process. Greg will complete his presentation with some observations and practical suggestions on project delivery and performance management. Greg Elliott is a director of Projenco Pty Ltd a specialist consulting

As our first event of 2008 we have arranged a tour of the production facilities of the West Australian newspaper. This will be one of the first guided tours through the facility since new technology and printing presses were installed, streamlining the production and supply chain required to manage the production of the paper. Following the tour morning tea will be served and an address will be provided about the challenges associated with manufacturing and distributing a daily newspaper under tight deadlines to a geographically expansive area. This tour is strictly limited to 40 members. Places will be allocated on first come, first basis, so please be quick to register if you would like to attend. All participants must wear closed in shoes to be permitted access, and no carry in gear (including handbags) will be permitted.
