Improve your Procurement Skills


Introductory Course

This course provides an opportunity for those with limited experience in procurement to develop their knowledge to achieve more effective procurement outcomes.  It is the next step for delegates who have attended ITP or who have a foundation knowledge of procurement.

 
Programme content:

This programme will apply facilitated sessions, group discussion and case studies to address the following:

  • Responsibilities and obligations of the procurement function
  • Legal aspects affecting procurement
  • Understanding your supply chain
  • Integration of procurement with other organisational functions
  • Identifying the customer need and preparing a good specification
  • Sourcing and market analysis
  • Developing negotiation strategies
  • Appraising your supplier and managing performance
