Introduction to Socially Responsible Procurement


Introductory Course

This course identifies how the procurement profession can deliver better socially responsible outcomes for organisations.

Programme content:

This programme will apply facilitated sessions, group discussion and case studies to address the following:

  • Define the elements of socially responsible procurement (environmental sustainability, governance,  community engagement, workplace management practices)
  • The importance of SRP to your organisation
  • The contribution procurement can make to achieving SRP goals
  • Evaluating tenders for SRP requirements
  • The approach to managing the supplier’s SRP performance
  • Triple bottom line reporting
  • SRP trends and issues
