Welcome to the New Zealand regional page.

New Zealand is the newest region for CIPS Australia, and momentum is growing every day among procurement professionals in New Zealand. The launch events in Auckland and Wellington in March 2007, saw over 170 procurement professionals attend, all with a common interest of improving procurement best practice in New Zealand. The Wellington launch event was honoured with an opening welcome from Mr Geoff Dangerfield, CEO of The Ministry of Economic Development.

Sustainable Procurement

We end the year celebrating your successes in implementing sustainable procurement initiatives.  Chris Browne MCIPS (Ministry for the Environment), author of international sustainable procurement tools, will help lead a case study based session and draw out lessons learned.  If you would like to suggest a potential case study, please email newzealand@cipsa.com.au or contact one of your committee representatives.

Presentations available from Jim Tamm Events in Auckland and Wellington

CIPS recently ran two very successful events in Auckland and Wellington, featuring renowned international speaker Jim Tamm. Jim spoke on building effective collaborative relationships, and how this is a basic 'survival' skill for successful organisations. There are two presentations available from the events, the basic powerpoint presentation (413KB PDF) and a presentation with Jim Tamm Bio and presentation notes (2MB PDF).
