Case Study 1

The Procurement and Supply Chain Director of a high profile, global, prime contractor in the construction sector was building a new organisation during a general business transformation. He identified that through the CIPS Leaders’ Network he would be provided with the essential knowledge and experience he required.

The Network offered the opportunity to tailor his membership to his specific requirements and included:

  • Hot topic seminar (1 p.a.),
  • Applied research event (1 p.a.)
  • Content provider for future network event (1 p.a.)

This member became a content provider for one of our events as their specialist knowledge was considered highly valuable and of great benefit to other members.

In the second year of membership, the organisation decided to upgrade to a comprehensive package (£15,775) as it recognised the value of the Network and how it could assist them further in the development of their organisation.

Case Study 2

The Procurement Director of a leading provider of transport services in the UK had recently been appointed into a new role. This required the consolidation of procurement from a number of different operating divisions into a single co-ordinated unit. He needed to develop the network of senior procurement figures for the purpose of sharing experiences and developing new ideas to support the necessary changes being faced. The individual’s preferences were to participate in ‘off site’ face-to-face events, thereby building relationships and making useful connections.

It was agreed that the most appropriate option for this organisation was a comprehensive package giving access to more than 10 “face-to-face” events during the first membership year. This included:

The Leaders’ Network provided the perfect fit to the organisation’s and individual’s needs, and gave the organisation a keener awareness of the CIPS offering and helped them to utilise various other CIPS services to support an overall organisational solution, including certification and team profiling.
