Our special interest groups were formed to help our Professional Practice Team (PPT) to develop policy statements, identify areas for future research projects and to produce professional guidance through articles and booklets.

These groups provide valuable advice and input in a number of ways:

• Provide guidance on technical issues.

• Undertake research on our behalf.

• Help to establish and promote best practice.

• Assist in the development of new products.

• Reviewing and improving existing products.

Policy Advisory Network (PAN)

Our Policy Advisory Network is a group of purchasing and supply management practitioners who assist in developing proactive policies and responses to consultative documents from government and other policy making bodies.

Special Knowledge Groups

These groups help to capture all of the relevant issues in order to assist our Professional Practice Team in writing guidance documents.  These groups meet on an ad-hoc basis – at least twice a year depending upon circumstances.
