Contract/Relationship Management

Strive for continual improvement from your suppliers

Once you have let the contract, it needs to be communicated to end users within your organisation. Effective ways to do this include:

  • Email and printed newsletters
  • Company intranet
  • Buyer’s guides

You should gather feedback from end users and other internal customers both formally and informally and feed this back to your suppliers. This gives them the opportunity to refine and improve their service. You should also aim to be a good customer, so seek feedback from key suppliers and ask for any suggestions on how the relationship could be improved or processes streamlined.

The overall objective of this phase is to monitor and rate the performance of your suppliers in order to develop their service and aim for continual improvement.
