Sample examination papers

Newer optional units

A sample question paper has been produced for each of the optional public sector units at levels 5 and 6 (launched in 2007 and 2008) and sustainable procurement at level 5 (launched in September 2009).

The sample papers are intended to give candidates an indication of the expected format and style of question papers for the examinations.

A corresponding answer guidance has been produced to give candidates an indication of how to answer the questions.

Revised format Level 4 and Level 5 exam papers

From November 2009 the examination papers for L4-05 Purchasing contexts and L5-03 Improving supply chain performance will be structured with two sections:

  • Section A - A case study scenario with two questions based on the information in the case study, each question is worth 25 marks.
  • Section B - You must answer two questions from a choice of four which test your knowledge and understanding. As with Section A, each question is worth 25 marks.
