Getting there and parking

Sheffield City Hall
The ceremony will take place in the Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall of the City Hall, Sheffield.

Please leave plenty of time to travel especially if you are unfamiliar with Sheffield. As in any city, traffic may be heavy and finding parking may take time.

By tram

You may wish to take advantage of the excellent tram system which allows you to park for free at Meadowhall and buy a tram ticket to the stop opposite City Hall.

Sheffield City Hall has its own tram stop on both Yellow (Meadowhall to Middlewood) and Blue (Halfway to Malin Bridge) routes. For more detailed information visit www.supertram.com

By car

Exit the M1 at Junction 33 and take the "Sheffield A630" exit and follow signs to Sheffield City Centre for the next five miles (A630 becomes the A57).

On approaching Park Square Roundabout, follow the signs for "Barnsley A61", use the right hand lane, stay in lane around the roundabout taking the fifth exit (right) onto Exchange Place.

Continue to follow signs for "Barnsley A61" for another half mile to West Bar Roundabout take the 1st exit (left) signed "Glossop A57" onto Tenter St.

At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit left onto Townhead Street and follow signs for public car parking.

Parking

There are limited car parking areas for blue badge holders on streets close to the City Hall itself. Please refer to the map available from the Sheffield City Council website for locations of public car parks in the city centre. Carver Street, Cambridge Street and Orchard Lane are all within a two minute walk from the venue.  A full map of off-street parking in Sheffield can be found here: the City Hall area in particular can be found here.

By bus

By air

By rail

Sheffield's mainline railway station is approximately fifteen minutes’ walk away from City Hall. Travellers from London should use St Pancras Station in the capital to reach Sheffield: the journey will take approximately two and a half hours.

Open: 06.30 to 19.30, Mon-Sat Exit after 19.30 is permissible with a valid Park & Ride ticket.
From the South - Halfway at the B6053/B6058 roundabout
From North/West - Middlewood access via A6102 Middlewood Road
Central - Nunnery Square - access via A57 Sheffield Parkway
