Robing and Photography
Once you have made your booking, you will receive a confirmation. Nearer the date, you will receive further information about the day including a robing time slot which is effectively the time you should aim to arrive at Sheffield City Hall.
On arrival, you will need to make your way to the Robing and Photography areas which are located in the Ballroom Suite on the lower ground floor. The quickest and easiest route is via the separate Ballroom entrance on the right-hand side of the building.
Graduates should follow signs for Robing, while friends and family will be directed to the Arches Bar to wait. Once you are robed, you can proceed to the Photography area together with friends and family.
Refreshments
The City Hall is located in the city centre and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area for lunch and other refreshments as well as facilities inside the venue.
Seating
Graduates will sit in alphabetical order on the left hand side of the Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall stalls and will be allocated a seat.
Guests will sit separately and will not have pre-allocated seating. However, the venue is large enough for all guests to be seated comfortably.
If you or your guests have mobility difficulties, please email us at graduation.ceremony@cips.org so that we can arrange suitable seating.
Ceremony
At 12.00pm, we will ask friends and family to take their places in the Oval Hall and at 12.15pm, graduates will be asked to take their seats. The ceremony will start at 12.30pm promptly.
Drinks reception
We are pleased to invite you to celebrate your graduation day with your family and friends at a post-ceremony drinks reception. This will take place in the Ballroom of the City Hall immediately after the end of the ceremony.
