What have our branches been up to?
With the extended lockdowns in NSW, the committee has been optimistic and have mobilised to bring two very successful webinars in the month in August with an impressive virtual turn-out from the community. Procurement with Purpose: Supporting Women-Owned Businesses was held on 19 August 2021 and was followed by Current Legal Issue in Procurement with Scott Alden on 30 August 2020. QLD Committee also hosted a very successful webinar in collaboration with QUT - Queensland University of Technology's Sustainability Week on the topic of How what you buy, can change people's lives on 26 August. The SA Committee has not permitted lockdowns to break their spirits. The Committee hosted their monthly networking coffee networking sessions on 19 August with nearly 20 professionals. WA Committee is pleased to host a very successful informal Coffee Networking morning on 3 August that saw many new and old faces turn up. The Committee is keen to continue the momentum and will be organising the next free Coffee Networking event on 8 September. Auckland Committee was pleased that they were able to sneak in their Monthly Networking session on the 2nd Tuesday of every month on the 10 August before New Zealand went into Alert Level 4 lockdown at The Brit Pub and Eatery.
