What have our branches been up to?

SA Branch - 23 September CIPSmas in July-ish the annual CIPS SA/NT Branch Pub Trivia took off with quiz-master Richard Peasgood bring on his best challenge yet. Well, done to the team at Beach Energy Ltd - Team Sons of Beaches who took home to winning gold prize for the night. Many thanks to our event sponsors Bailey Abbott Pty Ltd for making it a special and spectacular event. Well, done to the CIPS SA Committee who didn't let Covid, or lockdowns ruin this annual special. WA Branch - 9 September - It is fantastic to see our CIPS WA Committee host another free coffee connect session at the Tiisch Café to engage and reconnect with our procurement community in Perth again. As many of the other states continue to deal with lockdowns, it is refreshing to see face to face connect sessions like this happening across some parts of Australia. NSW Branch - Procurement with Purpose: Supporting Women-Owned Businesses webinar was a robust panel discussion on the benefits of supplier diversity and procurement from women-owned businesses. Panel speakers discussed their focus on supplier diversity in general, and social procurement, focusing on the benefits of procurement with women-owned businesses. The panel included Joanne Kennett – Social Traders Social Procurement Champion of the Year 2020 Alanna Bastin-Byrne, Director, Femeconomy Dave Andrews – Procurement Lead, Australia and New Zealand, Microsoft Susan Hungar - Host, CIPS NSW Branch Committee Member.
