CPD 2The event will provide a background and history to the Modern Day Slavery Act 2015, and what it means to procurement & Supply Chain professionals: Where it exists, what are the risks, and how to ensure that your organisation complies with the law using appropriate supply chain diligence.

As a result of attending this talk delegates will:

  • Understand what slavery is in the modern day context
  • Appreciate the scale and impact of modern day slavery
  • Understand the law on modern day slavery
  • Understand their responsibilities under the Modern Day Slavery Act 2015
  • Understand the link between supply chain transparency and the Slavery Act
  • Update on progress in compliance

Mandy Chippindale FCIPS, Director of The Procurement Academy. Mandy has held a number of Director level positions during her career in Procurement, and has worked in the United States, Middle East and Europe working on behalf of CIPS

Mandy has also worked as a Direct Associate for CIPS for five years, delivering training to CIPS’ blue chip client base. Furthermore Mandy now owns her own organisations offering CIPS Study across the Midlands and North, and continues to deliver skills training to a number of large organisations.

Mandy is also an Accredited Trainer for IACCM, The International Association for Contract & Commercial Management, and the first procurement professional in the world to achieve Chartered Status with CIPS.
