There is a shortage of talent in the procurement profession. So what can procurement executives do about this? Simply poaching staff from other organisations is not a sustainable solution for the profession as a whole.

So what can we practically do to attract the best people, motivate, retain and nurture them to become the "stars" and CPOs of the future?

We will provide some recommendations in all stages of the process, from recruitment through to development and retention. We will look at the Millennials, who will become the dominant generation over the next few years in our workforces. Do they really have a different outlook on life - and if so, how do today's leaders need to take account of that in their thinking?

What the session will cover:

  • The "war for talent" and how we need to respond as procurement leaders
  • The key factors to attract and retain talent
  • What are Millennials, how are they different, and what do they want and expect?
  • Being an attractive employer and boss to Millennials - and everyone else!
