The CIPS Middle East Supply Management Awards judging panel consist of representatives from CIPS in addition to other respected procurement leaders across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Find out more about the awards.

How we select our judges
We are confident that our awards stand out from others in the profession for being highly transparent, robust and ethical. Our standards are incredibly high and we carefully select judges based on this.

We invite judges from a selection of backgrounds, sectors and professions to ensure we have a wide range of knowledge and experience that reflects the range of entries we receive. We invite representatives from the previous winning organisations as well as senior procurement leaders. We do not allow consultants to join our panel and we limit non-CIPS judges to just two terms on the panel. Judges are allowed to enter the Awards and have to sign a confidentiality agreement with us, as well as declaring any conflicts of entry regarding the entries. Judges do not score categories which their organisations have entered and are not privy to scores or discussions on the judging days.

    Mohamed Al Junaibi

    Head of Procurement - Crown Prince Court

    Mohamed Al JunaibiMohamed Musallam Aljneibi, Head of Planning and Follow up in Procurement function at Crown Prince Court - Abu Dhabi, is an experienced professional with over 18 years of progressive accomplishments within the fields of procurement and project management.

    Mohamed is committed to giving back to society by mentoring young individuals as a member of YAL (Young Arab Leaders) and advising organizations in their journey to corporate excellence using his experience as a senior assessor for business excellence awards based on the EFQM framework.

    Mohamed received his leadership and executive education from INSEAD, Judge, Saïd and Wharton business schools. He holds an MSc in Project Management from The British University in Dubai and undertaking his doctorate in business administration with focus of procurement at Cranfield University.

    Adil Al Mulla

    VP Procurement and Supply Chain - Etihad Airways

    Adil Al MullaAdil is well known in Procurement field as he is leading the Group Procurement & Supply Management in Etihad Aviation with oversight of  Managing the Strategic sourcing processes through one of  the best world's leading technology systems. Adil also responsible for the transformation program, to find the innovation in cost improvement encouragements team efficiency. Adil leads a highly qualified and professional team working towards continuous and sustainable opportunities. And Adil is one of the first supporters and leaders for the “Graduate Procurement Management” program and supporting Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) ,  continually supporting  the Emiratisation in several departments, especially in the Procurement and Supply Management Department to ensure the graduation of individuals with high qualifications and skills that meet the business requirements.

    Before joining Etihad Aviation group, Adil was the Vice president of Procurement and Logistics Services at Emirates Airlines, where he specialized in managing the flow of the supply chain and logistics.

    Adil is the representative of CIPS Congress for MENA and the Chair Person for Procurement Majlis .

    Rachel Collins

    Head of Procurement - Faithful & Gould

    Rachel CollinsRachel is a chartered Procurement professional with over 12 years’ experience in varying Procurement roles in the UK and KSA. Experience obtained across industry sectors means Rachel brings critical and substantial Procurement knowledge and skill sets to clients.

    Rachel’s recent experience in senior roles within housing and developer organisations has provided her with valuable insight into the supply chain and allowed her to manage key Procurement and contracting strategies to assist the delivery of challenging projects across varying markets.

    Responsible for the newly formed Procurement service line for Faithful+Gould in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Rachel leads the implementation of strategic procurement best practice including category management, supplier relationship management and the establishment of innovative supply chain structures.

    Cath Hill

    Group Director - CIPS

    Cath HillCath is a member of the CIPS Group leadership team. She joined CIPS in 2011 and is responsible for a global portfolio that encompasses CIPS’ external facing activity under the CIPS and Supply management brands; and the development of CIPS’ senior level community. Cath has an Executive MBA from Cranfield University School of Management. She has worked in marketing and general management in a number of sectors including financial services and retail. Cath regularly chairs and presents at CIPS events and other conferences, and is a spokesperson for CIPS on topics such as the role procurement has to play in eradicating modern slavery and the need for the profession to raise its game and raise its voice.

    Evan Hooper

    Procurement Director - Compass Group

    Evan HooperEvan brings 17 years’ worth of experience gained in procurement, supply chain and retail working for well-known international organisations including Marks & Spencer and Aramark. Evan joined ADNH Compass in January 2017 and leads the Procurement team to drive quality and value for money in the goods and services we procure and deliver to our clients.

    Evan is an advocate for transformational and positive change through the Procurement function, this includes a commitment to developing strategic initiatives that increase our use of local suppliers and subsequently our positive impact on the UAE economy. 

    Anthony Petit

    Procurement Director - Evercare

    Anthony PETIT is a French-Australian diversely experienced Procurement Director with over 17 years of global industry exposure n different fields of the supply chain, from strategic sourcing to logistics. Anthony started his career in France in the construction industry then moved to Asia and transitioned to wine and property development industries, focusing on the end to end supply chain solutions in this part of the world.

    In 2011 he then moved to Australia to work for International SOS, the world’s leading travel security and health management company. Since 2017, Anthony has been the Group Procurement Director of Evercare, a Healthcare platform composed of 57 hospitals and clinics operating in Emerging markets.

    Anthony specialises in greenfield procurement having setup systems, processes and teams across the world in key industries ranging from immature to mid mature procurement organisations.

    Setting up procurement functions and transforming organisations to foster efficiencies and savings has been his focus over the past few years.

    His friends and colleagues talk about him as a citizen of the world as he hasked in fouruntries, holds two citizenships and travelled in more than 80 countries.

    Anthony holds a MSC in Management from the KEDGE Bordeaux Business School and an MBA from the City University of Hong Kong.

    Evelyn Sam

    Chief Supply Chain Officer - Airtel - Ghana

    Evelyn SamEvelyn Sam is currently the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) of Airteltigo, the number 2 Telecom operator in Ghana, West Africa. Prior to this she worked in MTN as a General Manager Supply chain for 9 years, and Unilever Ghana for 11 years as the Company Planning Manager

    She is a highly self-motivated, organized, confident, meticulous and open minded individual who has several years’ experience in Supply Chain Management leadership within the Retail, FMCG & Telco industries with leading organizations.

    In Sep 2018, she won the Industry personality of the year at the first Procurement awards in Ghana, with her team winning other awards such as the Best transformational procurement team and the Procurement and Supply chain team of the year

    She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS). She is also an MBA holder in Leadership & Sustainability at the University of Cumbria.

    Evelyn’s strategy in managing her role includes boosting the morale of her team through coaching and counselling, championing ethical disciplines and highlighting achievements when some real cost savings have made through the prudent activities of the Supply Chain team.

    Emma Scott

    Representation Manager - CIPS

    Emma ScottEmma studied BA Business Studies and Social Sciences at Nottingham Trent University and gained her MCIPS in 2003. 

    Emma worked in procurement for 10 years before joining CIPS specialising in procurement to pay process and system implementation managing a suite of end-to-end e-procurement tools and their surrounding processes. 

    Now Representation Manager at CIPS Emma is responsible for content development, supporting Supply Management magazine, CIPS campaigns and content for the global awards and conference portfolio. Emma has been leading on campaigns such as modern slavery, women in procurement leadership and the profession of choice project to encourage young people into a career in procurement.
