The Charities Sector Procurement Group (CSPG) are holding their annual event to support procurement professionals come together and undertake an opportunity to network with like minded professionals who work for a charity.

    Audience

    This event is open to members and non members.

    With guest speakers from Crown Commercial Services, Christian Aid and many more beside, it is an opportunity to find out more about best practice and share your procurement experiences.  The CSPG meet on a regular basis more details can be found here.

    David Smith

    Managing DirectorProcurement Direction

    After 26 years in senior and board level procurement roles and 11 years as one of UK government's most significant and influential Commercial Directors, in October 2013 David retired from his role in UK’s Department for Work and Pensions (which then had an annual procurement spend of £5 billion pa.

    He was a highly respected senior civil servant with significant management and board level experience with a very strong record for change, delivery and all levels of stakeholder management. He has also become a leading figure in procurement and commercial management over the last 30 years with a strong national and international profile.

     

    David L Loseby

    Director Aquitaine Strategy Ltd

    David has over 25 years’ experience at senior executive/director level driving value and change through procurement and organisational transformation.

    David’s varied background enables him to draw on not only his various global experiences, sector diversity and responsibilities within many Public Bodies as well as FTSE 100 companies such as, Inchcape plc., Arriva (DB company), Oaktree Fund Management, Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS trust, Westminster City Council, Associated British foods (ABF), Carphone Warehouse plc. (CPW), Barclays Bank plc. WS Atkins plc. & SmithKline Beecham (now Glaxo SmithKline) but also the experience gained in the Construction and Property sectors at the beginning of his career. He therefore has a real feel for the commercial and business drivers of the corporate customer to the private trader and what it takes to deliver sustainable bottom line results in the optimum time frame.

     

     

    Graham Copeland

    Procurement and Sales Consultant

    Graham Copeland is a procurement and sales consultant, coach, trainer and speaker. Graham’s career started traditionally in procurement over 20 years ago, with a 10-year diversion into sales and marketing where he climbed to be European Sales Director for HP. Now, back on the buy-side he now shares the tricks of his old trade with other procurement professionals in coaching and training for major corporates.

     

    Matthew Sparkes

    Deputy Director, Financial Services Group Crown Commercial Services

    Matthew is Head of Financial Services with category responsibility for over £2 billion worth of common financial goods and services spend for the public sector. Before joining CCS, he worked in the private sector at a major UK financial institution.

    He is a member of the International Association for Contract & Commercial Management and sits on the UK government’s New Grants Advisory Panel.
