    Duncan Brock is a member of the leadership team of CIPS. His main role is to ensure that CIPS provides its corporate and public sector customers globally with products and services that help them develop and improve their procurement and supply team’s capability. In addition, he is responsible for increasing the number of offices and partners that CIPS has globally, with a particular focus this year on the USA.

    Duncan has over 30 years procurement experience as a change driver working with senior executives and procurement leadership teams in the design and mobilisation of business-wide procurement processes & delivering improved business benefits. He’s had a specific interest throughout his career on implementing category management and developing the skills and capabilities of procurement teams.

    His procurement experience comes from working for Ford, Mars, Black & Decker, NTL (now Virgin Media) and RSA. As a senior consultant he worked for QP Group and Future Purchasing with clients such as Diageo, Barclays & Nestlé.

    Duncan regularly chairs & presents at procurement and supply conferences and forums, and is a spokesperson for CIPS for media interviews.

    Cem Özen was born at 8 March 1966 in Aarau, Switzerland. He graduated from İEL (High School) and METU (Middle East Technical University) Department of Management in 1984 and 1989 respectively. He served at mid to top-level managerial positions in the field of sales & customer services for the most reputable companies, such as Koç Holding, IBM, DHL and Turkcell.

    He has served in a variety of industries from household equipments, electronics, IT to call center services and telecommunication. He assumed managerial roles with full profit and loss accountability and people management responsibility. Furthermore, he has been serving banking, fast-moving-consumer-goods, health services industries as trainer, facilitator and consultant. Turkcell, Garanti Bankası, Eczacıbaşı, B/S/H/ are some of them.

    In 1998 he was selected to DHL’s international talent pool and attended the internal trainer & consultant development program. Since than, for nearly 14 years, Cem Özen has conducted internal and external training programs as a trainer / facilitator.

    Göksel Baydar studied International Relations at Ankara University and holds an MBA degree from Koç University. He began his career as an Associate in Corporate Finance department at Deniz Securities in 2000. From year 2002 to 2012, he undertook key responsibilities in various positions at Koç Holding, he worked as an Internal Auditor for various business lines including Durable Goods and Energy companies.

    He was transferred to the role of Project Manager at Tüpraş and led the reorganization of the procurement function. In 2013, he was assigned as Director of Procurement and Contracts and is responsible for management of procurement processes at four refineries, stocks, warehouses and the customs clearance.

    Mr. Baydar has one child and speaks fluent English.

    Paul Pearson is a strategic Procurement Manager with over 25 years procurement experience in both SME and global manufacturing organisations developing and implementing procurement strategies including consistently delivering cost savings across a range of commodities.

    After spending time in various businesses, Paul has developed a proven track record in influencing wider business decisions at board level through challenging strategic direction and the status quo, including influencing the outsourcing of strategic in-house processes as well as recently leading development and implementation of new supply chains and Supplier Relationship Management principles in emerging supply markets including recently Turkey.

    Pauls level of experience and expertise led him to be appointed as Vice Chairman of his Local CIPS branch where he continues to promote the importance of procurement and impart his knowledge.

    Asuman Büyükyıldırım studied Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. She began her career in the product development department at Bosch Termotechnology Plant in Manisa in 1992. She undertook key responsibilities in various positions in the same business unit as SAP Project manager, TT Purchasing specialist at the Thermotechnology Plant in Wernau-Germany and Purchasing Director at the Manisa Plant.

    During her international assignment in Wetzlar-Germany as of June 2010, she worked in Controlling department, after that she continued as project director of a production transfer project and as plant manager until the production transfer was completed. As of April 2013 she was assigned as Project Director of an international Authorization Project (AIM) in the department of TT/ICO before her transfer. Asuman Büyükyıldırım, who returned to Turkey in June 2014 to assume the role of Turkey Sub-Regional Director at Bosch Indirect Purchasing, has been appointed as Vice President as of April 1, 2018.

    Mrs. Büyükyıldırım is married with one child and speaks fluent English and German.

    Cath is a member of the CIPS Group leadership team.  She joined CIPS in 2011 and is responsible for a global portfolio that encompasses CIPS’ external facing activity under the CIPS and Supply management brands; and the development of CIPS’ senior level community.

    Cath has an Executive MBA from Cranfield University School of Management. She has worked in marketing and general management in a number of sectors including financial services and retail.

    Cath regularly chairs and presents at CIPS events and other conferences, and is a spokesperson for CIPS on topics such as the role procurement has to play in eradicating modern slavery and the need for the profession to raise its game and raise its voice.

    He was born in 1957 in İstanbul. After graduating from Galatasaray High School, he studied at Boğaziçi University and continued his MBA program at Boğaziçi University. He started his career as an advertiser and continued as a manager of many big brands. He is currently an academician at Bilgi University where he is also a founder member and continues meeting with readers in KAFA Magazine.

    Since an early age, Erden has worked as a top manager in Turkey at multinational giants in a variety of industries. Having been partaken in many firsts about future, marketing and the interactive world, Erden is the Head of Next Academy, the master’s program that pioneers in interactive business management, marketing and communication, at Bilgi University, an institution he helped found. In addition to hosting the TV show “Başka Bi Kafa” to talk about the special interest topics, he also works as a coach and a consultant in various subjects in a number of sectors. He’s been a near-future teller for many years.
