Claire is the Supply Chain Director and CIO of the RNLI, and part of the Executive Team. Within her Supply Chain remit she is responsible for defining and leading the development of the Supply Chain Strategy across the RNLI, as well as delivering the end-to-end transformation programme, which helps the organisation ensure they have the right suppliers and delivery performance at a reduced total cost.
Claire joined the RNLI from BP where she had been the Global Procurement Director for BP’s retail business. This role included all aspects of the supply chain for the petrol stations, including Fuel delivery logistics, infrastructure technology and marketing.
Prior to BP, Claire was the Head of Procurement at Coca-Cola Enterprises UK leading on the engagement with logistics, marketing and manufacturing. Her final role at Coke was leading the packaging innovation team across Europe.
This experience has been key when the RNLI is seeking to reduce the time it takes to produce lifeboats or help to prevent the risks and encourage greater safety for those that are immersed in the water.
Claire’s ambition to work for the RNLI came from her passion for sailing and she had for a long time respected all volunteers that work within the RNLI whether fundraising, providing education in the community or those that are committed lifeboat or lifesaving volunteers.
