Fellows Annual Wine Tasting 2017 hosted by Applegate Marketplace
Those of you who have joined us over the last four years will know what a great event this is and will no doubt be booking your place now!
This year with thanks to our hosts Applegate Marketplace we have been given an amazing opportunity to visit one of the finest award winning wine merchants in the world and sample from their cellars. Berry Bros. & and Rudd was founded in 1698 at No.3 St James St in London and still operates from its original premises. The building is full of history: the ‘Texas Embassy’, representing the independent Republic of Texas, used the rooms above the shop in the 19th Century, in 1940 Baron Philippe de Rothschild took up residence on fleeing the German invasion of France. The company has long supplied the Palace, and the current chairman Simon Berry, the seventh generation of the family, is also Clerk of the Royal Cellars. A unique chance to descend into the cellars below the shop, learn about good wines from the experts and enjoy an evening with your Fellowship colleagues.
Places are very limited so book today.
