CIPS has signed a new partnership agreement with purchasing training and consulting organisation By.O Group. The agreement between the two parties will focus on training and developing procurement and supply professionals, as well as improving the performance of procurement functions.
By.O Group is a leading independent French consulting firm specialising in the development of corporate purchasing performance. By.O Group has trained more than 15,000 people since 2001 (from young buyers to the board members).
CIPS is the largest professional body in the world for procurement and supply management, with a community of over 200,000 professionals in 180 countries and offices in five continents. This new partnership further extends their European network where By.O Group will be CIPS Country Partner in France, Belgium and French-speaking Switzerland, delivering skills training, applied learning and Procurement Excellence Programmes.
By.O Group recently held an official launch event at their offices in Paris attended by a hundred of its clients where they announced the partnership.
By.O Group and CIPS have already been selected by the French State Purchasing Department, DAE, to train Purchasing Managers operating in the various ministries. The programme is part of the French State's procurement professionalization scheme.
