    The event will provide an overview of Modern Slavery and why it’s relevant to all businesses. We will provide a short guide to the 2015 Modern Slavery Act & potential future changes to the act that will apply to businesses. We will share UK based cases studies, exploring how large businesses found themselves with cases of modern slavery. We will explore potential areas of risk in the UK & Internationally. The event will also provide suggestions for practical steps a business can take to help reduce their risk.

    Marc is the Director of Slave-Free Alliance, which is part of the Manchester based anti-slavery charity Hope for Justice. Slave-Free Alliance partners with business and organisations of all sizes to help reduce their risk of modern slavery. Marc and his team have worked with many businesses on practical steps they can take to reduce their risk of modern slavery within their operations. Slave-Free Alliance insights and advice are based on practical experience of working with both victims of modern slavery and businesses that have unwittingly employed forced labour.
