Volunteering

Volunteering with CIPS is a hugely valuable and rewarding experience.

Our members choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the profession and for others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of your motivation, what unites our volunteer community are the challenges and rewards it brings.

A note from our Group CEO

Welcome to the CIPS global volunteer network, supporting the procurement and supply profession, and sustaining the work of the Institute.

As a volunteer, you are the eyes and ears of our community. Your contribution is vital and significant, not only to CIPS and the profession but to the professionals of the future who are inspired by you and all you give back to our profession.

You play a large part in the development of a rich and diverse procurement community and CIPS couldn’t do its valuable work without you.

I hope you will get something back from volunteering too and gain new experiences to use in your own career, developing your own network, and maintaining a sense of belonging to the best profession in the world.

Malcolm Harrison FCIPS

    What’s in it for me?

Throughout my career I have found that my work with CIPS has kept me informed and up to date on what is going on in the profession and its future direction. It has helped me achieve the things I have achieved over a 35 year career.
Peter Williams FCIPS (Past President and Fellows Committee Events Secretary)
