MAG awarded CIPS Corporate Certification Standard - Demonstrating Commitment to Procurement Standards

15th June 2017 – The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) has awarded Manchester Airports Group’s (MAG) procurement team with the globally-recognised CIPS Corporate Certification after the team’s extremely professional and positive attitude towards improving their procurement policies and strategies.

Annually MAG serves over 55 million passengers a year across its four UK airports and its Procurement team influence around 85% of the group’s annual spend. MAG’s commitment to training and development is evident in its dedication to achieving high quality accreditations such as the CIPS Corporate Certification Standard.

The CIPS Corporate Certification Standard demonstrates that procurement policies, strategies, procedures and processes meet high-quality professional standards. MAG’s procurement team has excelled in the certification, with the assessor stating that the submission is, “…one of the best seen to date”.

The certificate was received by George Owens, Group Director of Procurement & Contracts; Charlie Cornish, Group Chief Executive; Andrew Harrison, Group Chief Strategy Officer and the Procurement & Contracts Leadership Team. The certificate was presented by Duncan Brock, Director of Customer Relations, CIPS.
