First Egypt Branch Event Held

CIPS 30 April 2016

CIPS Egypt branch has held its first-ever event, with around 135 delegates gathering at theRoyal Maxim Palace Kempinski, Cairo, Egypt for the presentations on Procurement Transformations in Egypt.

Eng. Ayman Amer, Director of Procurement at SODIC spoke about Moving Procurement from Tactical to Strategic in Egypt. Amr Abdel Naby, Chief Procurement Officer, BP spoke about Procurement Transformation in Egypt.

CIPS is still new to the Egyptian market, but the feedback was very positive with regards to the seniority level of attendees, the organisation of the event and the audience felt comfortable, especially after the speed networking event.

The objective was to drive awareness and knowledge about CIPS Egypt Branch activities and support the study centre to reach more procurement learners.

Further events are being planned, with organisers hoping to diversify the profile of participants to include a wider range of representatives.
