Happy New Year to all our members. Of course, no one can predict exactly what the coming year will bring. But what we can do is plan, prepare and pre-empt, getting our careers, teams and organisations in the best possible shape to tackle what lies ahead. Brushing up on the latest advances in technology, learning best practice from award winners and undertaking new training and challenges are all part of a winning future-proofing strategy.

So as we march into 2018, let’s make it a successful year... whatever it may bring.

New VPO for CIPS Americas and Canada

Procurement expert Bill Michels has been appointed Vice President of Operations by CIPS Americas. The former CEO of Aripart Consulting, he is a sought-after speaker and writer of many publications.

Duncan Brock, Group Director, CIPS said: “This is a really exciting development for CIPS and recognises the growing demand we are seeing from both our existing client base and new organisations looking to develop their procurement standards and capabilities across the US. Bill is an excellent addition to our global CIPS team and we look forward to expanding our existing US network.”
