Best International procurement project of the year – Milan Expo 2015

Delivering an attractive and innovative exhibition pavilion that attracted three times the expected number of visitors was a major achievement for UK Shared Business Services (UK SBS).

Doing it under budget and helping bring in £800m investment to the country made the UK government’s venue at the Milan Expo 2015 an outstanding success. And now it has also won the procurement team at UK SBS the CIPS Supply Management award for ‘Best international procurement project of the year’. The judges were particularly impressed that they “made £2m hard savings, did it under budget and within tight timescales”.
