Nearly 400 electricity generators have been accredited as renewable sources qualifying for exemption under the climate change levy.

Electricity regulator Ofgem, which published the list, has information for each generating station, including station location, owner and operating company, total generating capacity in kW and the percentage qualifying output.

Generators will get exemption certificates for their qualifying output. Suppliers who buy the output to sell to non-domestic customers will not pay the levy on it and may pass the saving on.
