Flexible solutions put firm into consultancy bracket

Procurement technology services vendor eZoka has addressed three key areas of the purchasing process with a suite of flexible solutions.

With TradeLinx, the company has repositioned itself as a purchasing consultancy. The online and offline solution pools the purchasing knowledge of its four former procurement professionals to advise organisations on efficient practices and on choosing the applications that suit their needs.

Dale Healthcote, chief operating officer, said: "We're now talking to much larger companies than we'd originally expected, who want to look at who they're purchasing with. We've evolved out purchasing support to offer not only front end, but goods and services on top."

eZoka is also offering SupplierLinx, which automatically converts supplier catalogue data of any type into XML format. It enables owners of procurement technology to integrate their preferred suppliers into most e-procurement applications, marketplaces and private exchanges.

Heathcote said getting suppliers involved was the key priority. "We want to make it as easy as we possibly can not to disrupt suppliers' processes."

The solution is supported by MarketLinx, which offers a customised and managed marketplace service for organisations to provide a "co-buying" service for their members.
