South African software provider Intenda has launched the latest version of its e-sourcing tool to coincide with the opening of a UK subsidiary.
Proqure 2.3 is an integrated suite with modules for vendor selection, creation of inquiries and requests and e-tendering.
The latest version tackles contract evaluation and adjudication, and analysis of previous spending patterns.
A contract management function simulates the tender process by sending requests for previously tendered supplies to determine the latest market prices.
Intenda was formed by a group of purchasers last year in a merger between a merchant banking group and a management consortium.
While the UK launch is concentrated on the private sector, the previous release of Proqure has been used since May by the South African government.
Intenda has also begun an e-sourcing survey, polling chief purchasing officers, procurement directors and finance directors of UK firms with revenues of more than £50 million.
A full report on the survey will be published next month. It can be reserved by e-mailing
