Payment service provider DataCash has launched a corporate purchasing card processing service for remote business-to-business transactions.

Targeted at large corporate customers, including retailers and local and central government, the service aims to help users process cards in transactions for high-volume, low-cost products bought online or via call centres.

The launch builds on DataCash's experience to date in the business-to-consumer market in bank card and direct payment services.

The service aims to help purchasing and finance departments to merge payment data with electronic procurement systems by identifying specific purchase information such as product description, quantity and price.

Cardholders can also received a consolidated VAT report from their card-issuing bank, making the statement the equivalent of a VAT invoice.
