Six purchasing professionals have been shortlisted for individual honours in this year's CIPS Supply Management Awards.

Vying for the title of CIPS Purchasing and Supply Management Professional of the Year are Geoff Pratchett, senior buyer at Oxford Magnet Technology; David Scott, supplies manager at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust; and Paul Wood, purchasing manager, Europe, at Dana Spicer.

In the Young Purchasing and Supply Management Professional of the Year category, the shortlist comprises Domenico Capozzi, UK e-procurement manager at AMS; Karen Felstead, commercial manager at Vodafone; and Rowena Wright, ethical trading and environmental manager in BT's procurement division.

The two winners will be presented with their prizes at the awards dinner, to be hosted by TV personality Rory Bremner in London on 30 October.
