Manhattan Associates has launched a new application suite that aims to provide retailers with comprehensive control over the whole supply chain.

The software, Integrated Logistics Solution (ILS) for Retail, is pitched at both small and large companies in the European retail sector.

It includes applications to manage warehousing, transport, distributed orders, trading partners, reverse logistics, radio frequency identification and performance indicators.

The software is modular and can be delivered as standalone applications or as an integrated package to give large companies the benefits of a unified approach to their supply chain.

"Companies that use ILS achieve better customer satisfaction, higher profitability and lower capital investment in undesirable inventory", said Peter Sinisgalli, chief executive of Manhattan Associates.

"Those are all benefits of being able to listen and react more quickly to a specific customer demand.

"Where historically supply chain solutions improved a business process within the supply chain, the appeal of ILS is that it starts with the customer."
