Six new senior practitioners have joined Supply Management's editorial advisory board, which helps to guide the content of the magazine.

Richard Abbott was recently appointed procurement programmes director at the Office of Government Commerce, where he is leading the drive to make significant cost savings as part of the Gershon efficiency review.

He is joined on the board by Alison Littley, demand and marketing procurement director at Diageo; Paul Lucas, group procurement director at Lloyds TSB; Alvin Mingle, manager of emerging markets sourcing at Ford of Europe; John Murphy, head of purchasing at Royal Mail; and Lee Parkinson, head of supply chain management at construction firm Wates Group.

The board meets three times a year to review the editorial content and direction of SM and to discuss ideas for future articles.
