The Home Office has upgraded its procurement function with four new director roles in its commercial division.

Diane Rampling joins as director of major projects from the UK Passport Agency, where she was commercial director.

Christian Carney is the department's new director of strategic sourcing. He was formerly head of e-commerce at Nokia.

Two interim positions have been confirmed as permanent.

Jim Rawlings, director of e-business, was previously assistant commercial director at the Criminal Justice IT (CJIT) unit, part of the Home Office.

Sue Moffatt, director of strategy and development, was deputy commercial director at CJIT.

All four roles report directly to John Dodd, Home Office commercial director, who said the appointments raise procurement's profile in the whole department.
