Sentencing delayed in IT fraud case

Sentencing for Kevin Barry, a former procurement officer at the London Borough of Havering, has been put back to Friday 22 April.

Barry was due to be sentenced on 18 March after pleading guilty to corruption contrary to section 1(1) of the Public Bodies Corrupt Practices Act 1889 (see News, 17 March). Two men currently employed by IT dealership Orbital Solutions and one former employee will also be sentenced on 22 April for their involvement in the corruption.
