Satirist Ian Hislop will host the CIPS Supply Management Awards in London in September.

He will entertain the audience before announcing the awards in the 10 team and two individual categories, as well as the overall winner.

He has edited Private Eye since 1986 and is best known for his work as a team captain on BBC's award-winning topical news quiz Have I Got News For You opposite comedian Paul Merton.

Hislop has also traced his family history on the series Who Do You Think You Are? and co-wrote the family sitcom, My Dad's The Prime Minister. He has also appeared as a contestant on the "professionals" series of University Challenge.

The event is being held in association with Ariba and is also sponsored by Atos Consulting, Haden Building Management, Hays Purchasing & Supply, HRG, the OGC and RS.

The black-tie gala dinner will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on 20 September. For more information and to book your table, call the awards team on +44 (0)20 7880 6214 or visit www.cipssmawards.com.
