Office supplier Steelcase UK says a series of contract wins over the past 12 months provided its best period of growth in years.
Deals worth over £1 million each were signed with clients such as Chevron, PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. These helped turnover for the past year increase by 10 per cent, to over £40 million. It is also set to benefit from a multi-million pound investment from US-based parent firm Steelcase.
Mark Spragg, managing director, told SM
the creation of consultancy Steelcase Solutions last year means buyers can benefit from tailored product, planning and design services for the office. He added: "Buyers, particularly when it's a new office, generally want to do something different from what everyone else has done."
The firm is to introduce a range of "green" cupboards, which it claims is the world's first without PVC.
