The European Council of Purchasing and Supply this month elected Keith Trower as its new chairman.

Trower, CIPS deputy CEO, succeeds Soeren Vammen. He will hold the post for three years beginning in October. ECPS is part of the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management.

"I would like to build on the achievements of Soeren Vammen," said Trower. "This will involve making ECPS increasingly relevant and useful to its stakeholders, developing an ECPS agenda consistent with member requirements, further expanding its role as a recognised European representative body and representing the ECPS region on the IFPSM board."
