Firms can enter the CIPS Supply Management Awards 2007 from today.
The awards celebrate and reward excellence in the field of purchasing and supply. There are 10 team categories for the awards, including best people development initiative and best purchaser-supplier collaboration. There is also an overall award winner.
As well as the team categories, there are two individual awards: the CIPS Purchasing and Supply Management Professional of the Year and the CIPS Young Purchasing and Supply Management Professional of the Year, which is open to CIPS members aged 30 or under.
Ron Jarman, CIPS vice-president and group head of sourcing at Reuters, will chair the judging panel, and spend management firm Ariba is the event's headline sponsor. Atos Consulting, Hays Purchasing and Supply, industrial component supplier RS and the OGC return as sponsors.
Entries for the awards must be submitted by 27 April. The awards dinner takes place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, on London's Park Lane on 20 September.
