This year's CIPS Supply Management Awards have attracted a record number of submissions.
The premier awards extravaganza celebrating the best in procurement and supply chain around the world has received 188 entries across the 11 team and two individual categories this year.
The increased focus of the profession on supplier relationship management has been reflected in a large number of entries for the Best Purchaser-Supplier Relationship category.
There was also a high number of entries for the Most Improved Purchasing Operation - Step Change and Best Public Procurement Project categories.
The entries will now be analysed by the judging panel, led by CIPS vice-president and general manager SAP of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Bola Afolabi.
Award nominations will appear on supplymanagement.com from 9 June.
The awards ceremony will return to the Grosvenor House Hotel on London's Park Lane on 4 September. For more information visit http://www.cipssmawards.com or call 020 7880 6214.
