This year's CIPS Supply Management Awards have attracted a record number of submissions.

The awards, which celebrate the best in procurement and supply chain around the world, have received 179 entries across the 11 team and two individual categories this year.

The increased focus on supplier relationship management has been reflected in a large number of entries for the Best Purchaser-Supplier Relationship category. There was also a high number of entries for the Best Public Procurement Project category.

The entries will now be analysed by the judging panel, led by Bola Afolabi, CIPS vice-president and general manager SAP of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. Shortlists will appear on supplymanagement.com from 9 June.

The awards ceremony will return to the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on 4 September. For more details visit www.cipssmawards.com or call 020 7880 6214.
