A buyer has received the highest ever grade on the MBA course at the University of Bath.

Nicola Bainbridge, marketing procurement manager at Disney, achieved an overall mark of 77 per cent, scoring more than 70 per cent in 84 of her 90 credits and 85 per cent on her final project.

She achieved the record grade while relocating from Hong Kong to the UK, getting married and giving birth to twins.

Bainbridge was awarded the Flores-New Prize for Best Overall Academic Performance at her graduation, along with £1,000.

"The MBA was a huge challenge with a number of life-changing events happening at the same time," she said. "I had to juggle personal life, work and study, which taught me a number of valuable skills."

Bainbridge joined Disney in 2003 from Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific. Before that she was on the British Airways graduate scheme.
