Former procurement category manager Monica Dingwall has left engineering consultancy WS Atkins to join bookmakers William Hill.
In her new role as contract manager within William Hill’s group procurement team she will take on indirect spend with responsibility for supplier relationships, contract management and internal stakeholder relationships. Her remit covers telecoms, cleaning and other categories relating to indirect expenditure at William Hill in the UK.
At WS Atkins, Dingwall oversaw business travel. Her implementation of the online rail booking tool was shortlisted for the 2010 CIPS Supply Management Awards.
The tool achieved 56 per cent year-on-year savings, by switching users to book online. In the first month of the tool’s launch, the number of rail bookings made online rose by 80 per cent.
Dingwall, who was at the engineering consultancy for four years, said: “I hope to replicate the good work achieved at Atkins. I wanted to find new challenges in a different market and I look forward to developing internal and external relationships as a contract manager at William Hill.”
