supply chain chief at US grocery giant Supervalu has been given extra
responsibility as executive vice president for merchandising and logistics.
Haugarth, chief operating officer of the company's supply chain services since
2006, will continue to oversee these operations. In her additional new role she
will lead merchandising activities across the company's retail businesses.
has replaced Steve Jungmann, who left the company last week. Haugarth has been
with Supervalu for more than 30 years and will report directly to Craig
Herkert, chief executive officer and president of Supervalu.
