There are just three weeks left to send in your entries for this year’s CIPS Supply Management Awards.

The deadline for submissions to be eligible the profession’s premiere prize-giving event is 15 April.

Now is the time to act if you want to be considered for one of the 10 team or two individual awards that recognise the best in purchasing and supply chain. We hope to smash the record for number of entries received once again this year, up from the 222 received in 2010.

Perhaps you think your team has enhanced the reputation of the profession or contributed to the public good? If so, you could be a candidate for 2011’s new award Best Contribution to the Reputation of the Procurement Profession.

Or maybe you work for an inspirational leader that has changed the way procurement is carried out at your organisation? Why not reward them with a nomination for the CIPS Procurement and Supply Chain Management Professional of the Year individual award?

Once you have chosen the categories you wish to enter and prepared your submissions, register and upload your entry at You can find extra guidance on how to enter by clicking here.

The nominations shortlist will be revealed on 23 June. This year’s judging panel is chaired by David Smith, commercial director at the Department for Work and Pensions and CIPS vice-president.

The ceremony will take place on 14 September at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London with a top comedian set to compère on the night. Past hosts have included Rob Brydon, Dara O’Briain and Michael McIntyre.

This year’s headline sponsor is BravoSolution, and the event is also supported by RS, Hays Procurement, American Express and Qinetiq Commerce Decisions.
