East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Sheffield City Council have announced the 55 construction consultants appointed to the YORconsult Framework Agreement.

The framework agreement for construction consultancy services is available to any public or third sector body based in Yorkshire and the Humber to access. It is worth up to £290 million, and it is believed it will offer savings in the region of 20 per cent.

The deal covers the procurement of building, housing, civil engineering, planning and environmental consultants. The appointed consultants offer 21 types of services covering construction. It also includes contractual provisions for local training, apprenticeships, employment and economic regeneration. The creators claim it is one of the largest collaborative procurement projects in the UK.

Jed Turner, senior construction category manager for Sheffield City Council, said: “It’s an efficient and effective ‘one stop shop’ for the region’s construction and property consultancy needs.”

The lists of contractors for the North and East sub-region and the South and West sub-region can be found on the links provided.
